Help Avi fight his way back ❤️🩹

Avi – Festin D’Avenir – suffered a devastating injury when his superficial digital flexor tendon was completely severed and his deep digital flexor tendon partially severed.

The initial veterinary advice was euthanasia. Infection was already a major concern, the prognosis was uncertain, and simply taking the first step meant committing to surgery costing around £3,000 – knowing that, depending on what the surgeons found, we could still lose him under anaesthetic.

But while there was a genuine chance for Avi, we felt he deserved that chance.

He made it through surgery, and now the long road begins.

Treatment of an injury like Avi’s doesn’t finish when the operation is over. He faces ongoing veterinary treatment, specialist support, dressing and wound care, rehabilitation and many months of carefully managed recovery.
