Giving Malta's Horses New Futures

RMJ Horse Rescue is a Malta-based charity dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of horses in need.

Our primary focus is helping retired Standardbred trotters transition from their racing careers into loving homes through our Project Back to the Green initiative.

Many of these horses have spent their lives in training and competition. When their racing careers come to an end, owners may be unable to keep them, leaving their future uncertain. Project Back to the Green was created to ensure these wonderful horses have the opportunity to enjoy the retirement they deserve – grazing in green fields, forming bonds with their new families and experiencing life beyond the racetrack.

Since its creation, RMJ has helped hundreds of horses begin new lives, with more than 300 RMJ horses now living throughout the United Kingdom.
